Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

"There are parts of ourselves that we can only see through the mirror of 'the other' and this is the medicine that libra brings us... Libra reveals to us 'the other' side of the equation, where we might need to re-calibrate in order to come back into balance...."
~Mijanou MM

When I said in January that the astrology for the year of 2024 was nothing short of chaotic, I meant it with my whole heart. Today welcomes the beginning of "eclipse season" with a full moon lunar eclipse in libra. That's one mouthful of a sentence. A lunar eclipse happens when the sun and the moon are in the same signs as in the lunar nodes. A full moon means a lunar eclipse and a new moon would signify a solar eclipse (we'll get that in another two weeks).

This full moon, refereed to as the Worm Moon according to the farmer's almanac and in some tribes in North America, the Crow Moon, will bring potent and intense energies. Although it's the end of March, this is the first full moon of the astrological year since Spring marks the start of the year. The year starting anew with warmth and the sun slowly returning has always made more sense to start my year than in the depths of winter in January when life feels like hibernation.

Eclipse energy can be erratic, chaotic and jolting. Libra strives to find balance and harmony especially in relationships. So, this eclipse may focus the energy and chaos on your relationships, not just romantic but friendships, work relationships, family or neighbors. Riding the chaotic energy is not often advised so the best thing you can do is stay centered. Grounding and centering is of particular importance especially if you find yourself in the midst of frustration in relationships. Ground yourself first. Become still. Be. Let yourself be the center and the rest will fall into place.

This eclipse is ending a 6 month karmic circle, do you remember what was going on in your life 6 months ago? What do you wish you did differently? Or were you planting something in October that you are ready to harvest? Now is the time to shift that focus. In order to rebirth, we must shed the coil that weighs us down, so revisit your Spring Equinox journaling. Is there anything hanging on that you need to let go of to embark on this new year?

Today and this week's energy are erratic and unpredictable but you don't have to be. If there's one thing you can do this week, breathe. Ground. Take time each day to breathe and ground yourself before facing the world (even if the "world" is just through a screen). If you need a basic breathing exercise check out my youtube

This transformative energy can help us harvest. If you planted something, a dream, an idea, a new project, etc in October what can you harvest now? Do you need to feed that dream or water it first? Breathing, grounding and this question is all I'll be focusing on with journaling this week. Like being in a stormy sea, if all you can do is breathe, you're doing fantastic.❤️
